Description

This microlot is definitely the most expensive coffee we have ever bought. It is a Geisha – or Gesha – from Peru from the producer Blanca Flor Córdova Jimenez. She grows this very special variety, among others, at an altitude of 1,800 m, giving us a coffee that is so extraordinary, elegant and complex that it will not be forgotten for a long time. In 2022, Blanca Flor won the “Cup of Excellence” in Peru with her Geisha lot.

100 % Peru, Cenfrocafe cooperative, washed arabica

Cup profile:

Refreshing acidity, black tea, bergamotte, red currants, jasmine, caramel, silky mouthfeel

Recommended for:

We recommend to brew this Microlot as a pour over, AeroPress, Chemex or the Karlsbad coffee maker.

Whole beans:

We sell our coffee unground as beans so that you can prepare the coffee as freshly as possible. By grinding yourself, you make sure that all the aromas end up in your cup. After just 30 minutes of exposure to air, ground coffee loses a large part of its aroma. More information is in our FAQ.

If you don’t have a grinder, we can grind the coffee for you. Just let us know in your order under “Order Notes”.

  1. Antje Hofmann

Danke Antje 🙏🏾 Das hast du wirklich sehr schön treffend beschrieben.

    Super leckerer Kaffee!

Cenfrocafe, Peru

The green coffee for this Microlot comes from the Cenfrocafe cooperative in Peru, producer Blanca Flor Córdova Jimenez.

The Cenfrocafe cooperative was established in 2005 and is located in northern Peru, not far from the Ecuadorian border. With the support of other cooperatives, the goal was to create a base for the many small coffee producers in the mountainous terrain surrounding the city of Jaén. The cooperative now has some 2,500 members.

In 2010, the cooperative introduced a wide-scale quality improvement program: workshops were held, technical and agricultural advisers were trained. Today, Cenfrocafe has taken on a leading role in cultivating high-quality organic coffee.
